New lens and strange bird

I have recently purchased a new lens to fill the gap between all my other lenses. This new lens will become very useful as it has a very close macro and will allow me to take some better shots. Using my 75-300 mm lens (which is my current favourite) I have just taken some photos of some very strange birds (which appear to be a mating pair nesting near my villa in Portugal) with a very large beak and a large feather sticking out the back of their heads resembling another fake beak to try and fool predators. I will receive my new lens when I return back to the UK in a week.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is where I will be posting all my best photos and keeping everyone up to date with all my photography life and outings. So far - at the age of twelve - I have already won two school competitions with prizes that already total forty five pounds. I will be posting more photos soon.
